The Haglund residence is located deep in the forest next to a lake outside of a small town named Lerum.  In 2014, the Haglunds were obliged to start using county water and sewage, which meant that the entire yard had to be torn up and trenched.  With all of the heavy equipment on site, the Haglunds decided to chase a dream, and have an orangerie(glass house) installed on the hill above the house.  In 2015 NHA was hired to design and realize a system of decks, stairs and ramps that would lead from main house to the orangerie.  Working with amazing local carpenters, a play on angles and elevations was built using south american red wood.  The deck system is anchored into the hillside with natural stone walls and planters.
